Thank you for electing me to represent you on the Cypress College Academic Senate. I thought you might like to know a little bit about your senator.I have long been and am currently a part-time faculty member at many colleges in LA and Orange Counties. I got my first teaching job at Cypress College, in the Psychology Department, in January, 1994 and have been here (at 60%) in Psychology and/or Human Services ever since that time (until this semester, but that's a long story).
I was also a student at Cypress College from 1983-1985.
I teach at Rio Hondo College, Saddleback College, Cal-State University, Fullerton, Southern California University and North Central University. I received the Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Theology from Loyola Marymount University in 1988. I then completed the Master of Arts Degree and the Doctor of Psychology Degree at United States International University in 1993 and 1996 respectively.
Most importantly, I have been on the organizing committee of Adjunct Faculty United (CFT/AFT) since January 1999. If you are not familiar yet with our organizing efforts, please click on the link and find out what we're doing, where we've been and where we're going.
